Congratulations from Neotech on Translation City Day!
Late September to early October is a holiday season for the translation industry. The chief professional holiday, International Translation Day, is followed by the birthday of a unique internet site for localization specialists: Translation City. Neotech congratulates all our colleagues, and the City’s founder Ekaterina Ryabtseva in particular!
For translators, autumn is a time of particular pride in our profession. Perhaps the industry earned it not so very long ago, but it is in autumn that translators celebrate their professional holiday. And it is symbolic that in autumn, eight years ago, the "building" of Translation City began. Its population continues increasing from year to year, and the City itself becomes increasingly interesting with each passing day.
As a leader on the translation market and the largest company in Russia and the CIS countries, Neotech considers it important to support development of the industry as a whole. For this very reason Neotech takes part in many initiatives geared towards raising the translation community's level of professionalism, and for several years now has been an active Citizen.
Translation City is the only specialized site of its kind. It enables all interested translators, regardless of their actual residence, to exchange experience and practical know-how, to hold constructive professional discussions, and to find partners and associates among high-level specialists. In the city you can always find the most pertinent information, not only on the history and details of the profession, but on cutting-edge translation technology, price formation, developing client relations, and marketing services.
Congratulations from Neotech to our colleagues on Translation City Day! Congratulations in particular to Ekaterina Ryabtseva, the founder and irreplaceable administrator and ideological mastermind of all the City's undertakings. Neotech wishes for the citizens and Ekaterina personally that they may not rest on their laurals in the City's development, but aspire towards perfection and continue the founding of their own ideal City – Translation City!
Note on Translation City
The Translation City online resource appeared on October 4, 2001, and since then has annually celebrated its own Translation City Day. Ekaterina Ryabtseva, the City’s author, owner, and administrator, is a French and English translator by education.
Over the project's lifetime a spearhead group has formed of members and fans for the site's development. Their proposals serve as the basis for new divisions and services.
